Ненависть

полные ненависти,
охваченные ненавистью,
подавленные ненавистью,
живут люди

Hatred

full of hatred,
overcome by hatred,
overpowered by hatred,
people take life

Смерть всегда приближается

Жизнь мимолётна и быстротечна,

Как капли росы на кончиках листьев травы, быстро высохнут они под лучами солнца;

Как дождевые пузыри на воде, вскоре лопнут они;

Как след, прочерченный палкой на песке, быстро исчезнет он;

Как корова, ведомая на убой, с каждым шагом приближается ее смерть

Смерть всегда приближается;

Так солнце движется только к закату

Так высыхают ручьи от летней жары;

Так однажды ранним туманным утром падают с деревьев плоды.

Death is always near

Life is fleeting, and passes away quickly

like the bubbles which rain causes in water and which burst soon

or like the line made by a stick in sand which vanishes soon

or like a cow about to be slaughtered; each time she raises her foot she comes nearer to death.

Death is always near;

just as the sun, once it has arisen, goes forwardin the direction of its setting

just as brooks get extinguished when dried up by the summer heat

as dewdrops are dispersed when touched by the rays of the sun

as fruits are bound to fall from a tree early one day.

Когда прекращаются желания, цеплявшиеся к сердцу, смертный становится бессмертным.

Spirit

spirit subtile,
spirit lively,
spirit clear,
spirit plain,
spirit steadfast,
spirit sure
spirit active,
spirit sweet,
spirit pure,
spirit holy

When he established the heavens, I was there,
when he drew a circle on the face of the deep, 

when he made firm the skies above,
when he established the fountains of the deep, 

 
when he assigned to the sea its limit,
so that the waters might not transgress his command,

When all desires dwelling in the heart cease, then the mortal becomes immortal

When the ties of the heart are cut asunder here, then the mortal becomes immortal

Шветашватара-упанишада (фрагмент)

Подобно тому, как загрязнённое пылью зеркало снова ярко блестит, когда оно очищено, так же и наделённый телом, становится единым, достигшим цели, свободным от страданий.

Когда он, словно наделённый светильником, видит сущность Творца, и познав нерожденного, постоянного, свободного от всех сущностей Бога, он избавляется от всех уз.

Это Бог, пребывающий во всех странах света.  Он рожден, он и будет рожден, он стоит перед людьми, обращенный во все стороны

Shvetashvatara Upanishad (fragm.)

As gold  covered by earth  shines bright  after it has been purified,  so also the man, realising the truth of Lord,  becomes one with the non—dual Lord,  attains the goal  and is free from grief.

And when he beholds the real nature of Creator,  through the Knowledge of the Self,  radiant as a lamp,  then,  having known the unborn and immutable Lord,  who is untouched by ignorance  and its effects,  he is freed from all fetters. 

He indeed, the Lord,  who pervades all regions,  was the first to be born  and it is He  who dwells in the womb  of the universe. It is He, again,  who is born as a child  and He will be born  in the future, He stands behind all persons  and His face is everywhere.
